Hi, I am Laura Munoz from the small town of SweetHome. I am a local Real Estate Broker at Oregon Real Estate Professionals in Lebanon. After spending ten exhausting and enlightening years in the mental health care field, I've finally found a career I love and have passion for. I am excited to be in this Marketing class Spring term, so I can apply what I learn to my Real Estate business, and better myself as a Real Estate Agent.

Not only am I excited to apply what I learn in this course to my business but this is my last term at Linn Benton Community College to complete my Associate's degree. I have had a lot of major

life changes these past six months and decided to ask myself what I wanted to do, finishing my Associates was at the top, along with taking up running again. I haven't run in years, but now I am back at it and running two miles every day at the local track.

I am quite fascinated by statistical marketing and would like to learn how to better harness some of the advertisement tools that I already have access to with my Real Estate business. I have already started doing this but I have yet to fully grasp it’s potential. 

I am also quite interested in understanding social influencing advertisements. I am just scrapping my understanding of it and I’m excited to see if we cover it in this class. 

Most of all I am looking to get to know all of my classmates.

Marketing in the News I came across the Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuum on Mashable.com, I searched under the shopping tab and seen the title "Best Vacuum for Pet Hair". I knew this was instantly something I wanted to look at and gain knowledge on which vacuum they believe is truly the best for pet hair, as I have two cats of my own that shed hair all over my house. The cat hair from my two cats is something I am always trying to keep at a minimum as they shed a lot, so I was hoping I may find a solution to my problem. This advertisement highlighted the unique features of the vacuum claiming it has the "strongest suction of any vacuum", emphasized its the compartment that can be emptied therefore no bag is needed, as well as it will automatically adjust to different surfaces that you vacuum and no animal hair will get stuck on the bristle bar because the way it's made.
